Product transformation for complex, regulated systems

PlusProduct is a consultancy that helps enterprise teams change how their products, services, and platforms work, where the stakes are high and the rules are strict.

What we do

  • Product and service transformation. We help organisations move from ad hoc delivery to a repeatable way of running products and services. That covers operating models, service design blueprints, and the roles inside and outside the team.
  • Platform selection and launch. We support platform evaluations, trade-off decisions, and architectural direction, then product-manage the launch and the rollout across sites and markets.
  • AI and automation adoption. We assess where AI and automation will free up capacity, plan the adoption, and help scale it once the first building blocks are in place.
  • Systems thinking for products and teams. We look at the product, the team, and the decisions around them as one system. Fix the system and the outputs follow.
  • Leadership coaching and workshops. We coach product leaders, managers, and owners, and run workshops on outcomes, roadmaps, user research, and ways of working.

Where we work

We take on the hardest systems problems in sectors where failure is expensive:

  • Pharma and life sciences, including global web platforms with strict regulatory, regional, and accessibility needs
  • Oil and gas, and wider energy
  • High-volume e-commerce and price comparison
  • Government and public sector
  • Charities and the voluntary sector
  • Fintech

How we work

We start by auditing how the work actually happens today, including the people, platforms, and decisions. We then give prioritised recommendations and stay to deliver them, from leadership level down to the team. Engagements are senior-led and sized to the problem.

What clients said

PlusProduct provided us strategic business support and coaching for the product management team at British Red Cross.

Through workshops, coaching and leadership consultation; PlusProduct enabled us to mature our product approaches.

Ian Goodman, CIO, British Red Cross

We engaged PlusProduct initially to consult, and then to product manage the launch of our new global web platform.

We have been so pleased with the outcomes that we have now engaged PlusProduct for further transformation in our regional teams.

Sierra Towers, VP, Boehringer Ingelheim

I have found coaching to usually be theoretical and fluffy: PlusProduct is the exception to this rule.

Our product team now has clearer direction and the ability to make autonomous decisions for our business.

Will Goodwin, Co-Founder, Tumelo

Even though my background is in product management, I have found the insights to be invaluable.

I have already recommended them to several other founders and hear they've made a significant impact there too.
