Top 20 Pharma company Boehringer Ingelheim – Product managing the new web platform

The client:

Boehringer Ingelheim is in the top 20 largest pharma organisation in the world. It is over 150 years old, employing over 50,000 people. BI runs over 8000 web pages across multiple regions. Each site has a differing variety of regulatory, regional and accessibility needs.

“We engaged PlusProduct initially to consult, and then to product manage the launch of our new global web platform.

We have been so pleased with the outcomes that we have now engaged PlusProduct for additional transformation in our regional teams"
Sierra Towers
VP - Boehringer Ingelheim

The challenge:

Boehringer-Ingelheim launched a multi-million Euro project to build a platform which could respond & scale to this challenge. Running a platform at this scale also required new ways of working

As part of this wider project, PlusProduct was asked to support the product team with building an effective approach to managing the system. PlusProduct also worked with the cross-functional stakeholders and the leadership team in building new ways of working

“The Pharma industry has unique regulatory challenges.
It also has a huge responsibility for web accessibility and usability:
Many patients are an older generation, less tech savvy, and often needing robust accessibility/usability support.

It was a pleasure working with BI as they make thought-leading changes around their web experiences."
